How Nouvatan Spraytanning works

The Primary active ingredient is a sugar derivative called DHA which when is prayed on the top layers of your skin reacts with the amino acids thus creating a colour change similar to uv sun tan. As your skin sheds, the tan fades naturally between 5-7 days after application.
A guide colour will be applied to your body, which ensures a perfect application. This guide colour is very natural looking which allows you to go about your day without looking like you´ve been in a mud bath! This then washes off after development to leave your beautifully tanned.

Before You Have Nouvatan Applied

Be sure to exfoliate before have your Nouvatan applied.  This will help your tan to last longer.
Moisturise any dry skin areas such as hands, elbows, knees, toes and heels.  These dryer skin areas tend to absorb more of the product and produce dark patches, using a moisturiser will help stop this and give a more even tone.   Patchy knees and elbows is not a good look :_)
Once exfoliated, use an oil free, water-based moisturiser to ensure that your skin is free to absorb all the tanning product.  Oil based moisturisers will cause your Nouvatan to streak, so check your products ingredients beforehand.

Once you exfoliate, use an oil free, water-based moisturiser to ensure that your skin is free to absorb all the tanning product.  If you use an oil-based moisturiser before fake tanning,  the oil can sit on the skin, creating a barrier that can cause fake tan to streak!  One quick way to tell if your moisturiser is water or oil based is to look at the ingredient listed on the label.  Chances are it’s water (Aqua) or possibly aloe vera, but steer clear if any of the ingredient’s are oil.

On Your Visit
Please do not wear white clothing, as the Nouvatan could rub off and stain your white clothing, although this normally will wash out.  If you prefer to wear briefs when you have your spray tan, then bring a spare pair to change into after and a plastic bag put your tanned briefs in.
