What are Eyelash Extensions
Eyelash Extensions are a way of extending your own natural lashes. The lashes are glued onto your own eyelash, lash by lash giving a natural but luscious look.
Are Eyelash Extensions Safe?
Yes, absolutely, Ellen uses only Eu approved products for her eyelash extensions, and there is no plucking or waxing involved.
Will it Hurt to get Eyelash Extensions?
No, no lashes or glue will touch the skin.
How Long will my Eyelash Extensions Last?
This will depend on a couple of things, the rate at which your own eyelashes grow, and how well you take care of them, following the care instructions will help them to last longer. Ellen recommends a top up at around three weeks.
Before Your Appointment
Please do not wear any make up before your appointment, especially eyeliner, mascara and eyeshadow!
Please do not wear contact lenses, just your normal spectacles
Are Eyelash Extensions for me?
Almost anyone can have eyelash extensions with one or two exceptions:
You do not have any natural eyelashes, this means that there is nothing to fix the eyelash extension onto. Maybe think about strip lashes instead.
You are sick have allergies or sensitive skin. Your eyelash extensions won´t last if you are rubbing your eyes a lot and this can happen if you have hay fever especially, or have an allergy to eye make up.
If your natural eyelashes are very curly, then the extensions will start to come off after only a few days. If you are unsure Ellen will be pleased to advise you.
Caring for your Eyelash Extensions
Your eyelashes should not get wet for a minimum of 24, or preferably 48 hours.
You should not need to use mascara with your new eyelash extension, however if you do, do not use waterproof mascara, and avoid using any type of oil based remover when cleansing around the eye area, as this will break down the adhesive and cause the extensions to fall off.
Take care at all times around the eyes, try not to rub the eyes as this will damage the adhesive.
Never use a eyelash curler on your extensions. This can permanently damage not only the extensions, but your natural eyelashes as well.
Use an eyelash comb to groom your eyelashes each morning.
Avoid extreme variations of heat, humidity, and cold weather for example, hot showers, saunas, frosty weather, this way your eyelash extensions will last longer.
Schedule an appointment with Ellen every 2 to 3 weeks, to keep your lashes looking full and natural, indefinitely.
Never try to pull off the lashes yourself as this will damage your natural lashes.
